I've had thick hair problems (or THP, as I like to call it) for as long as I can remember. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for my thick hair. It's hard to remember to appreciate it, however, when your mother has to cut out the knots because there's too much hair in the tangle to comb out. It can also complicate the simplest of tasks, such as taking a shower and having the water properly drain, or trying to put your hair up.
I break hair bands like you wouldn't believe. I don't even have to be doing anything creative to get it to break. Simply attempting a ponytail will cause the typical rubber band to detonate like a hand grenade, launching it's fabric covered rubber shrapnel at the speed of light into my hand. Not to mention the fact that I'm always left hunting the house like a crazed animal looking for a suitable replacement that will undoubtedly follow in the footsteps of those before it. That was before I discovered The Tye.
